(رفت) - في حديث ابنِ الزُّبَير، رضي الله عنهما، وقيل: إنَّه يَعنِى البَيتَ: يَرفَتُّ .
: أي يتفَتَّت، والرُّفاتُ: نحو الفُتَات، وهو مُطاوِع رفتُّ الشىءَ بِيدِى نَحو المَدَر والعَظْم: إذا كَسرْتَ. ورفَتَ: دَقَّ. وارفَتَّ الحَبلُ: انقَطَع.

(رَفَتَ) الرَّاءُ وَالْفَاءُ وَالتَّاءُ أَصْلٌ وَاحِدٌ يَدُلُّ عَلَى فَتٍّ وَلَيٍّ. يُقَالُ رَفَتُّ الشَّيْءَ بِيَدِي، إِذَا فَتَتَّهُ حَتَّى صَارَ رُفَاتًا. وَارْفَتَّ الْحَبْلُ، إِذَا انْقَطَعَ. وَاشْتُقَّ مِنْهُ رَفَتَ عُنُقَهُ، إِذَا دَقَّهَا وَلَفَتَهَا [وَ] لَوَاهَا.
