أمّ ولد إلياس بن مضر بن نزار بن معدّ بن عدنان واسمها ليلى بنت حلوان بن عمران بن الحاف بن قضاعة، والخندف: ضرب من المشي، وبه سميت، وما هذا موضع بسط ذلك.
