(ب ظ ر) : عَلِيٌّ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ - قَالَ لِشُرَيْحٍ أَيُّهَا الْعَبْدُ (الْأَبْظَرُ) هُوَ الَّذِي فِي شَفَتَيْهِ بُظَارَةٌ وَهِيَ هَنَةٌ نَاتِئَةٌ فِي وَسَطِ الشَّفَةِ الْعُلْيَا وَلَا يَكُونُ لِكُلِّ وَاحِدٍ وَقِيلَ الْأَبْظَرُ الصَّخَّابُ الطَّوِيلُ اللِّسَانِ وَجَعَلَهُ عَبْدًا لِأَنَّهُ وَقَعَ عَلَيْهِ سِبَاءٌ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ (وَبَظْرُ) الْمَرْأَةِ هَنَةٌ بَيْنَ شُفْرَيْ فَرْجِهَا (وَامْرَأَةٌ بَظْرَاءُ) لَمْ تُخْتَتَنْ (وَمِنْهُ) مَا يُقَالُ فِي شَتَائِمِهِمْ يَا ابْنَ الْبَظْرَاءِ.
