اصطبل
إِصْطَبْلٌ A stable (
K) for دَوَابّ [i. e. horses or mules or asses]: (
S [in some copies of which it is omitted] and
K:) the ا is radical, because an augmentative does not occur at the beginning of a word of four or five letters unless derived from a verb: (

اصطبل: الرُّباعي: الإِصْطَبْلُ مَوْقِف الدابة، وفي التهذيب: مَوْقِف
الفَرَس، شاميّة؛ قال سيبويه: الإِسْفَنْطُ والإِصْطَبْلُ خُماسيَّان جعل
الأَلف فيهما أَصيلة كما جعل يَسْتَعُور خماسيّاً، جعلت الياء أَصلية.
الجوهري: الإِصطبل للدواب وأَلفه أَصلية لأَن الزيادة لا تلحق بنات
الأَربعة من أَوائلها إِلا الأَسماء الجارية على أَفعالها وهي من الخمسة أَبعد،
قال: وقال أَبو عمرو الإِصطبل ليس من كلام العرب.
