لقن

3 لَاقَنَهُ i. q. ضَايَقَهُ. (TA voce ذَاقَنَهُ.) لَقَنٌ, arabicised from [the Persian] لَقَنْ [also written لَكَنْ]. A thing [or basin] resembling a طَسْت, of صُفْر [or brass]. (TA.) See إِجَّانَهٌ.

(لَقَنَ)
(هـ) فِي حَدِيثِ الْهِجْرَةِ «ويَبِيت عندَهما عبدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَهُوَ شابٌّ ثَقِفٌ لَقِنٌ» أَيْ فَهِمٌ حَسَنُ التَّلَقُّن لِمَا يَسْمَعُه.
وَمِنْهُ حَدِيثُ الأُخدود «انْظُروا لِي غُلاماً فَطِناً لَقِناً» .
[هـ] وَفِي حَدِيثِ عَلِيٍّ «إِنَّ هَاهُنَا علْماً- وَأَشَارَ إِلَى صَدره- لَوْ أصبتُ لَهُ حَمَلَةً، بَلَى أُصِيبُ لَقِناً غَيْرَ مَأْمُونٍ» أَيْ فِهماً غَيْرَ ثِقة.

(لَقِنَ) اللَّامُ وَالْقَافُ وَالنُّونُ كَلِمَةٌ صَحِيحَةٌ تَدُلُّ عَلَى أَخْذِ عِلْمٍ وَفَهْمِهِ. وَلَقِنَ الشَّيْءَ لَقْنًا: أَخَذَهُ وَفَهِمَهُ. وَلَقَّنْتُهُ تَلْقِينًا: فَهَّمْتُهُ. وَغُلَامٌ لَقِنٌ: سَرِيعُ الْفَهْمِ وَاللَّقَانَةِ.
