أ1 لَكَأَ, aor. ـَ (K,) inf. n. لَكْءٌ, (TA,) He beat a person (K) with a whip. (TA.) b2: لَكَأَ بِهِ الأَرْضَ He cast him upon the ground. (Az, S.) [See زَكَأَ, and لَتَأَ.] b3: لَكَأَهُ He prostrated him. (K.) A2: لَكَأَهُ He gave him the whole of what was due to him: (K:) like لَفَأَهُ. (T.) A3: لَكِئَ, aor. ـَ He stayed, dwelt, or abode, (K,) in a place: like لَكِىَ. (TA.) لكئ بِمَوْضِعٍ He kept, or remained fixed, in a place. (K, * TA.) 5 تلكّأ عَلَيْهِ He excused himself to him; he pleaded an excuse to him. (K.) b2: تلكّأ عَنْهُ He was slow to do it; delayed to do it; (S, K, TA;) excused himself, or pleaded an excuse, for not doing it; refused to do it, or abstained from doing it. (TA.)
