سنحف: السَّنْحَفُ: العظيمُ الطويلُ. وفي حديث عبد الملك: إنَّك

لَسِنَّحْفٌ أَي عظيم طويل، والسِّنْحافُ مثله؛ قال ابن الأَثير: هكذا ذكره

الهروي في السين والحاء المهملة، وفي كتاب الجوهري وأَبي موسى بالشين والخاء

المعجمتين. وسيأْتي ذكره.

(هـ) فِي حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ «إنَّك لَسِنَّحْفٌ» أَيْ عَظيم طَويل، وَهُوَ السِّنْحَافُ أَيْضًا، هَكَذَا ذكَرَه الْهَرَوِيُّ فِي السِّينِ وَالْحَاءِ. وَالَّذِي فِي كِتَابِ الْجَوْهَرِيِّ وَأَبِي مُوسَى بِالشِّينِ وَالْخَاءِ الْمُعْجَمَتَيْنِ. وَسَيَجِيءُ.
