امرأةٌ مُخَنَّشة: فِيهَا بقيات من شَباب.

وبقى لَهُم خُنْشوش من مَال، أَي: بَقِيَّة.

وخُنشوش: اسْم رجل من بني دارم، يُقَال لَهُ: خُنشوش بن مُدّ، يَقُول لَهُ عَلْقَمَة الدَّارمِيّ:

جَزى الله خُنشوش بن مُدّ مَلامةً إِذا زَيّن الْفَحْشَاء للنَّفس مُوقُها

أَرَادَ: مؤقها.
