خَنعس
الخَنْعَسُ، كجَعْفَر، أَهملَه الجَوهَرِيُّ، ونَقَلَه الصّاغَانِيُّ فِي التَّكْمِلَة، وصاحبُ اللسَان، وَلم يَعْزِيَاه وعَزَاهُ فِي العُبَابِ للخَارْزَنْجِيِّ. قَالَ: هُوَ الضَّبُعُ، وأَنْشَدَ الثّانِي قولَ الشَّاعِرِ: (ولَوْلاَ أَمِيرِي عاصِمٌ لَتَثَوَّرَتْ ... مَعَ الصُّبْحِ عَنْ قُوْرِ ابنِ عَيْسَاءَ خَنْعَسُ)
وقالَ الأَوّلُ: هُوَ الخَتْعَسُ، بالتاءِ. وممَّا يُسْتَدْرَكُ عَلَيْهِ: خَنْعَسٌ، كجَعْفَرٍ: جَبَلٌ قُرْبَ قرّ فِي دِيَارِ غَنيِّ بنِ أَعْصُر.
