خ ف ف: (الْخُفُّ) وَاحِدُ (أَخْفَافِ) الْبَعِيرِ وَهُوَ أَيْضًا وَاحِدُ (الْخِفَافِ) الَّتِي تُلْبَسُ. وَ (التَّخْفِيفُ) ضِدُّ التَّثْقِيلِ وَ (اسْتَخَفَّهُ) ضِدُّ اسْتَثْقَلَهُ. وَ (اسْتَخَفَّ) بِهِ أَهَانَهُ. وَ (خَفَّ) الشَّيْءُ يَخِفُّ بِالْكَسْرِ (خِفَّةً) صَارَ (خَفِيفًا) . وَ (أَخَفَّ) الرَّجُلُ خَفَّتْ حَالُهُ. وَفِي الْحَدِيثِ: «إِنَّ بَيْنَ أَيْدِينَا عَقَبَةً كَئُودًا لَا يَجُوزُهَا إِلَّا الْمُخِفُّ» .
