(ثَيَبَ)
- فِيهِ «الثَّيّب بالثَّيّب جَلْدُ مائةٍ ورجْمٌ بِالْحِجَارَةِ» الثَّيِّبُ مَن لَيْسَ بِبِكْرٍ، وَيَقَعُ عَلَى الذَّكَرِ وَالْأُنْثَى، رَجُل ثُيّب وَامْرَأَةٌ ثَيِّبٌ، وَقَدْ يُطْلق عَلَى الْمَرْأَةِ المبالغة وَإِنْ كَانَتْ بكْرا، مجَازا وَاتِّسَاعًا. وَالْجَمْعُ بَيْنَ الجَلْد والرَّجْم مَنْسُوخٌ. وَأَصْلُ الْكَلِمَةِ الْوَاوُ، لِأَنَّهُ مِنْ ثَابَ يَثُوب إِذَا رَجَع، كَأَنَّ الثَّيب بِصَدَدِ الْعَوْدِ وَالرُّجُوعِ. وَذَكَرْنَاهُ هَاهُنَا حَمْلًا عَلَى لَفْظِهِ. وَقَدْ تَكَرَّرَ ذِكْرُهُ فِي الْحَدِيثِ.
