بابلي: نسبة إلى بابل، وكانت بابل تعتبر مركزاً للسحر (انظر: لين، ترجمة ألف ليلة 1: 213)، يقال عيون بابلية أي ساحرة (ألف ليلة 1: 58، وبرسل 10: 259، وجاءت في طبعة ماكن: بلبلية، خطأ. ويجب أن تصحح بلبلية فتكتب بابلية في طبعة ماكن 4: 260، وفي نفس العبارة من طبعة برسل 10: 232.
