وعَزاهُ إلَى أبِيه: نَسَبَهُ إلَيْه. وإنَّهُ لحَسَنُ العِزْوَةِ والعِزْيَةِ، مَكْسُورَتَيْنِ.
وعَزا هُوَ إلَيْهِ،

واعْتَزَى وتَعَزَّى: انْتَسَبَ صِدْقاً أو كَذِباً.
وَعَزْوَى وتَعْزَى: كَلِمَتَا اسْتِعْطافٍ.

وبَنُو عَزْوانَ: حَيٌّ مِنَ الجِنِّ.
