وهس
الوهس: شدة السير، وهسوا وتواهسوا، وسير وهس، وكذلك في الأكل والبضع. والذليل الموطوء، وقد وهسته أهسه. وكلام موهوس: إذا كان سراً. وهو يهس كلامه: أي يخفيه. والتواهس: السرار. والوهيسة: أن يطبخ الجراد ثم يجفف ويدق ويقمح أو يؤكل بدسم. والوهس: الدق.

(وَهَسَ) الْوَاوُ وَالْهَاءُ وَالسِّينُ: كَلِمَتَانِ: إِحْدَاهُمَا الشِّدَّةُ فِي الْأُمُورِ، وَالثَّانِيَةُ مِنَ السِّرَارِ.

فَالْأُولَى الْوَهْسُ: شِدَّةُ السَّيْرِ. وَالْوَهْسُ: شِدَّةُ الْأَكْلِ. وَالْوَهْسُ: شِدَّةُ الْوَطْءِ. وَقَالَ حُمَيْدٌ: بِتَنَقُّصِ الْأَعْرَاضِ وَالْوَهْسِ

فَهَذَا مِنَ التَّوَهُّسِ، وَهُوَ التَّشَدُّدُ وَالتَّطَاوُلُ عَلَى الْعَشِيرَةِ.

وَالْكَلِمَةُ الْأُخْرَى: الْوَهْسُ السِّرَارُ. وَالْوَهْسُ: النَّمِيمَةُ.
