ورِهَ، كفرِحَ: حَمُقَ. والنَّعْتُ: أوْرَهُ ووَرْهاءُ،
وـ الرِّيحُ: كَثُرَ هُبُوبُها. وكَورثَ: كَثُرَ شَحْمُ المَرأةِ، فهي وَرِهَةٌ.
وسَحابَةٌ وَرِهَةٌ وَوَرْهاءُ: كثيرَةُ المَطَرِ.
ودارٌ وارِهةٌ: واسِعةٌ.
ورِيحٌ وَرْهاءُ: في هُبوبِها عَجْرَفَةٌ.
وتَوَرَّهَ في عَمَلِهِ: لم يكن فيه حِذْقٌ.
والوَرْهاءُ: فَرَسٌ.
والوَرَهْرَهَةُ: الحَمْقاءُ.

(س) فِي حَدِيثِ الْأَحْنَفِ «قَالَ لَه الْحُتَات: واللَّهِ إِنَّكَ لَضَئِيل، وَإِنَّ أمَّك لَوَرْهَاءُ» الْوَرَهُ بالتَّحريك: الخَرَق فِي كُلّ عَمل. وَقِيلَ: الحُمقُ. ورَجُلٌ أَوْرَهُ، إِذَا كَانَ أحْمَقَ أهْوَجَ. وَقَدْ وَرِهَ يَوْرَهُ.
وَمِنْهُ حَدِيثُ جَعْفَرٍ الصَّادِقِ: «قَالَ لرجُل: نَعَمْ يَا أَوْرَهُ» .

(وَرَهَ) الْوَاوُ وَالرَّاءُ وَالْهَاءُ: كَلِمَةٌ تَدُلُّ عَلَى اضْطِرَابٍ وَخُرْقٍ. فَالْوَرْهَاءُ: الْمَرْأَةُ الْحَمْقَاءُ. وَالْوَرَهُ: الْخُرْقُ: وَرِيحٌ وَرْهَاءُ. فِي هُبُوبِهَا خُرْقٌ وَعَجْرَفَةٌ. وَسَحَابٌ وَرِهٌ: لَا يُمْسِكُ مَاءَهُ. وَيَقُولُونَ الْوَرِهُ: اللَّحْمُ الرَّخْصُ. فَإِنْ كَانَ صَحِيحًا فَإِنَّمَا سُمِّيَ بِهِ لِاضْطِرَابِهِ.
