[وبط] وَبَطَ رأيُ فلانٍ يَبِطُ وَبْطاً ووُبوطاً، أي ضعُف. وكذلك وبط بالكسر يوبط وبطا . والوابط: الضعيف الجبانُ. ويقال أردتُ حاجةً فوَبَطني عنها فلان، أي حبسني.
