الهِمْءُ - بالكسر -: الثَّوبُ الخَلَقُ، والجَمْعُ أهْماءٌ. وأهْمَأْتُ الثَّوبَ: أبْلَيْتُه. وتَهَمَّأَ: بَلِيَ وتَقَطَّعَ.

وانْهَمَأَ ثَوْبُهُ وتَهَمَّأَ: انْقَطَعَ من البِلَى، وربما قالوا تَهتَّأَ، بالتاءِ، وقد تقدم. والهِمْءُ: الثَّوْبُ الخَلَقُ، وجمع الهِمْءِ أَهْمَاءٌ.

( {الهِمْءُ، بِالْكَسْرِ) هُوَ (الثَّوْبُ الخَلَقُ، ج} أَهْمَاءٌ) .
( {وَهَمَأَهُ) أَي الثوبَ (كمَنَعَه) } يَهْمَؤُهُ {هَمْأً (: خَرَقَهُ) أَي جَذَبَه فانخَرق (وأَبْلاَهُ،} كأَهْمَأَهُ) رُباعيًّا ( {فَانْهَمَأَ} وتَهَمَّأَ) أَي تَقَطَّع من البِلَى، وَرُبمَا قالُوا: تَهَيَّأَ، بِالتَّاءِ المثنَّاة الفوقيَّة، وَقد تقدَّم ذِكْرُه.
