الهَلِيْلَجُ: من الأَدْوِيَة، لُغَةٌ في إهْلِيْلَج. وهَلَجْتُ وهَرَجْتُ: وهو أنْ يَأْتِيَكَ من الأخبار بما لا تُوْقِنُ به. والهَلَجُ: ما تَراهُ في النَّوْمِ كالأضْغاث. ويَهْلِجُ في الكلام: يَهْذي. والهَلَجُ: الطَّمَعُ، هَلَّجَني تَهْلِيْجاً.
