نُخَانُ:
بالضم، وآخره نون: قرية على باب أصبهان يقال لها مدينة جيّ أو بقربها أو محلّة منها، وقد نسب إليها أبو جعفر زيد بن بندار بن زيد النخاني الفقيه الأصبهاني، سمع القعنبي وعثمان بن أبي شيبة وغيرهما، روى عنه أحمد بن محمد بن نصر الأصبهاني، وتوفي سنة 273.
