[نده] النَدْهُ: الزجر. تقول: نَدَهْتُ البعير، إذا زجرته عن الحوض وغيره. ونَدَهْتُ الإبل: سُقْتها مجتمعةً. وكان طلاق الجاهلية: اذْهَبي فلا أَنْدَهُ سَرْبَكَ، أي لا أَرُدُّ إبلك، لتذهب حيث شاءت. والنَدْهَةُ والنُدْهَةُ، بفتح النون وضمّها: الكثرة من المال من صامتٍ أو ماشيةٍ. وأنشد الأمويُّ لجميل: فكيفَ ولا تُوفي دماؤُهُمُ دَمي * ولا مالهم ذو ندهة فيدونى
