نخرب: النُّخْروبُ واحد النَّخاريب، وهي خروق تكون في موضع نحو نَخاريب الزنابير. والقادح يُنَخْرِبُ الشجرة. وشجرة مُنَخْرَبْةٌ إذا خلقت وصار فيها النَّخاريب. والنَّخْروبُ: الثقبة التي فيها الزنابير. يقال: إنه لأضيق من النَّخْروب، وكذلك من كل شيء.
