مير: المِيْرَةُ بلا هَمْزٍ: جَلَبُ الطَّعَامِ للبَيْعِ وللعِيَالِ، وهُمْ يَمِيْرُوْنَ غَيْرَهم ويَمْتَارُوْنَ لأنْفُسِهم.
وأمَرْتُ الدُّهْنَ في رَأْسي أُمِيْرُه إمَارَةً: أي مَسَحْته.
ومايَرْتُه مُمَايَرَةً: إذا بارَيْتَه في صَنِيْعِه.
وما عِنْدَهم خَيْرٌ ولا مَيْرٌ: من الامْتِيَارِ.
