(مَصَلَ) الْمِيمُ وَالصَّادُ وَاللَّامُ أَصْلٌ صَحِيحٌ يَدُلُّ عَلَى تَحَلُّبِ شَيْءٍ وَقَطْرِهِ. مِنْهُ الْمَصْلُ: مَاءُ الْأَقِطِ. وَشَاةٌ مُمْصِلٌ، وَذَلِكَ إِذَا تَزَيَّلَ لَبَنُهَا فِي الْعُلْبَةِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُحْقَنَ: وَهِيَ مِمْصَالٌ أَيْضًا. وَمَصَلَ الْجُرْحُ: سَالَ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ يَسِيرٌ. وَيُسْتَعَارُ فَيُقَالُ أَعْطَاهُ عَطَاءً مَاصِلًا: قَلِيلًا. وَالْمُمْصِلُ: الْمَرْأَةُ تُلْقِي وَلَدَهَا وَهُوَ مُضْغَةٌ. يُقَالُ: أَمْصَلَتْ. وَأَمْصَلَ الرَّاعِي الْغَنَمَ: حَلَبَهَا فَاسْتَوْعَبَ مَا فِيهَا. وَأَمْصَلَ بِضَاعَتَهُ: أَهْلَكَهَا وَصَرَفَهَا فِيمَا لَا خَيْرَ فِيهِ. أَنْشَدَ ابْنُ السِّكِّيتِ: أَمْصَلْتُ مَالِي كُلَّهُ وَنَقَصْتُهُ

وَالْمُصَالَةُ: قُطَارَةُ الْحُبِّ.
