لَمَكُ: أبو نُوْح - صلى الله عليه وسلم -، ويُقال: نُوْحُ بن لَمَكٍ.
واللَّمَاكُ واللَّمَاجُ: الشَّيْءُ الذي يُؤْكَلُ ويُشْرَبُ، تَلَمَّكَ وتَلمَّجَ: أي تَلَمَّظَ.
والتَّلَمُّكُ: تَحْرِيكُ اللَّحْيَيْن بالكلام أو الصَّوْتِ.
ولَمَكْتُ العَجِيْنَ ومَلَكْتُه: إِذا عَجَنْتَه.
واللُّمَاكُ: الإثْمِدُ.
