ك م د: (الْكَمَدُ) الْحُزْنُ الْمَكْتُومُ وَبَابُهُ طَرِبَ فَهُوَ (كَمِدٌ) وَ (كَمِيدٌ) . وَ (الْكُمْدَةُ) تَغَيُّرُ اللَّوْنِ. وَ (تَكْمِيدُ) الْعُضْوِ تَسْخِينُهُ بِخِرَقٍ وَنَحْوِهَا وَكَذَا الْكِمَادُ بِالْكَسْرِ، وَفِي الْحَدِيثِ: «الْكِمَادُ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنَ الْكَيِّ» .
