قُعَيْنٌ، كزُبيرٍ: بَطْنٌ من أسَدٍ.
والقَيْعُونُ: نَبْتٌ.
والقَعْنُ: الجَفْنَةُ يُعْجَنُ فيها، وبلا لامٍ: جَدُّ الحَلاَّجِ بنِ عِلاجٍ من أشْرافِ الكُوفَةِ، وبالتحريكِ: قِصَرٌ فاحِشٌ في الأَنْفِ، وارتِفاعٌ في الأَرْنَبَةِ، ضِدٌّ؛
كالقَعانِ، كسحاب، وانْفِحاجٌ في الرِّجْلِ.
