قوز: قوز: بعض العامة يقول: قوز الشيء بمعنى كومه مستديرا. (محيط المحيط).
قوز: عزلة، خلوة، انفراد. (هابيشت في تعليقاته على المجلد السابع من طبعته ألف ليلة ص14).
قوزة: كومة، وهي من كلام العامة محيط المحيط قوزة (بالتركية قوزي): الصغير من الضأن (محيط المحيط) وهي من كلام العامة.
قوزي (تركية) والجمع قوازي: الصغير من الضأن. (همبرت ص61، بوشر).
