العَنَط: طول الْعُنُق وَحسنه. وَقيل: هُوَ الطول عَامَّة. رجل عَنَطْنَطٌ، وَالْأُنْثَى: بِالْهَاءِ. وَفرس عَنَطْنَطَةٌ: طَوِيلَة. قَالَ:

عَنَطْنَطٌ تعدو بِهِ عَنَطْنَطَهْ

والعَنَطْنَطُ: الإبريق، لطول عُنُقه، أَنْشدني بعض من لقِيت:

فقَرَّبَ أكْوَاسا لَهُ وعَنَطْنَطا ... وجاءَ بتُفَّاحٍ كَثيرٍ دَوَارِكِ
