عَقَبَ(n. ac. عَقْب)
a. Struck, hit in the heel.

عُقُوْب), Followed, came behind; succeeded; replaced
superseded; took, occupied ( the place of ).

عَقَّبَa. Followed, came after, behind.
b. [Fī], Repeated, reiterated; returned to; waited, stayed
remained behind after (prayer).
عَاْقَبَa. see II (a)b. [Fī], Did, came, used alternately; relieved (
guard ).
c. Punished, chastised.

أَعْقَبَa. Followed, succeeded; rode alternately with.
