ش ع ع: (شُعَاعُ) الشَّمْسِ مَا يُرَى مِنْ ضَوْئِهَا عِنْدَ ذُرُورِهَا كَالْقُضْبَانِ وَقَدْ (أَشَعَّتِ) الشَّمْسُ نَشَرَتْ شُعَاعَهَا. وَمِنْهُ حَدِيثُ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ: «إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ تَطْلُعُ مِنْ غَدِ يَوْمِهَا لَا شُعَاعَ لَهَا» الْوَاحِدَةُ (شُعَاعَةٌ) وَ (شَعْشَعَ) الشَّرَابَ مَزَجَهُ.
