المَشْدَحُ: مَتَاع الْمَرْأَة، قَالَ الْأَغْلَب:

وتارَةً يَكْدِمُ إِن لم يَجرَحِ

عُرعرةَ المُتْكِ وكَيْنَ المشْدَحِ

وَهُوَ المشَرَحُ بالراء.

وانشدَحَ الرجل: اسْتلْقى وَفرج رجلَيْهِ.

وناقة شَوْدَحٌ، طَوِيلَة. قَالَ الطرماح: قطَعْتُ إِلَى مَعْروفِه مُنْكَرَاتِها ... بفَتْلاءِ إمرارِ الذراعَينِ شَوْدَحِ
