سلهب: سَلْهَب: نجد في ألف ليلة (برسل 3: 69): أسْلَبُ من سلهب ويقول لين أن كلمة سلهب اسم كلب، وربما كان لها هذا المعنى هنا وعندئذ فيجب أن يترجم (بما معناه): أضرى من سلهب.
