أسْعَطْتُه دَواءً وسَعَطْتُه؛ فاسْتَعَطَه. وهو سَعِيْطٌ. والدَّواءُ: السَّعُوْط.
وطَعَنْتُه فأسْعَطْته: أصَبْتَ أنْفَه. والسعِيْطُ: رِيْحُ الخَمْر. ودُهْنُ الحَلِي والعرق.

(سَعَطَ) السِّينُ وَالْعَيْنُ وَالطَّاءُ أَصْلٌ، وَهُوَ أَنْ يُوجَرَ الْإِنْسَانُ الدَّوَاءَ، ثُمَّ يَحْمِلُ عَلَيْهِ. فَمِنْ ذَلِكَ أَسْعَطْتُهُ الدَّوَاءَ فَاسْتَعَطَهُ. وَالْمُسْعُطُ: الَّذِي يُجْعَلُ فِيهِ السَّعُوطُ. وَالسَّعُوطُ هُوَ الدَّوَاءُ، وَأَصْلَ بِنَائِهِ سَعَطَ. وَمِمَّا يُحْمَلُ عَلَيْهِ قَوْلُهُمْ طَعَنْتُهُ فَأَسْعَطْتُهُ الرُّمْحَ، وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ.
