السَّتى: مِثْلُ السدى لِضِدِّ اللُّحْمَةِ. والمُسْتي: المُسْدي. وأسْتَيْتُ الثَوْبَ بِسَتَاه. والأسْتِيُّ: مِثْلُ الأسْدِيَ.
ويقولون: " ما أنْتَ بلُحْمَةٍ ولا سَتَاةٍ ". وأرْضٌ سَتِية: أي نَدِيةٌ. ويقولونَ: سَتَأَه وتَأَسَه وسَأتَه: أي خَنَقَه.
