(زَيَغَ) الزَّاءُ وَالْيَاءُ وَالْغَيْنُ أَصْلٌ يَدُلُّ عَلَى مَيْلِ الشَّيْءِ. يُقَالُ زَاغَ يَزِيغُ زَيْغًا. وَالتَّزَيُّغُ: التَّمَايُلُ، وَقَوْمٌ زَاغَةٌ، أَيْ زَائِغُونَ، وَزَاغَتِ الشَّمْسُ، وَذَلِكَ إِذَا مَالَتْ وَفَاءَ الْفَيْءُ. وَقَالَ اللَّهُ جَلَّ ثَنَاؤُهُ: {فَلَمَّا زَاغُوا أَزَاغَ اللَّهُ قُلُوبَهُمْ} [الصف: 5] ، فَأَمَّا قَوْلُهُمْ: تَزَيَّغَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ، فَهَذَا مِنْ بَابِ الْإِبْدَالِ، وَهِيَ نُونٌ أُبْدِلَتْ غَيْنًا.
