[زوع] زاعَ بعيرَه يَزوعُهُ زَوْعاً، أي حرّكه بزِمامٍ إلى قُدَّامٍ ليزداد في سيره. قال ذو الرمة: وخافِقِ الرأسِ فوق الرِحْلِ قلتُ له * زُعْ بالزِمام وجَوْزُ الليل مركوم * ومن رواه " زع " بالفتح من وزعه فقد غلط، لانه ليس يأمره بأن يكف بعيره.
