زمهر: زمهر الجرح والبثر: هاج وفسد فيه الدم (محيط المحيط).
ازمهرَّ، يقال ازمهر الفرس، ففي ألف ليلة (2: 8)، وأما الفرس فإنه شخر ونخر وصهل وازمهرّ.
زمهرِير: يجمع بالألف والتاء (فوك).

(هـ س) فِي حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ «قَالَ: كَانَ عُمَرُ مُزْمَهِرّاً عَلَى الْكَافِرِ» أَيْ شديدَ الغضَب عَلَيْهِ. والزَّمْهَرِيرُ: شِدَّةُ البرْد، وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَعَدَّهُ اللَّهُ عَذاباً للكفَّار فِي الدَّارِ الْآخِرَةِ.
