زقية وزقاية (سريانية): عصا، وتجمع على زقيات وزقايات (باين سميث 1152).
زَقّايَة: صائح، صياح، مغرد (دوماس حياة العرب ص168).
زاقٍ: ديك، زاقية: دجاجة، والجمع زَوَاقٍ (معجم الطرائف).
