زبردج
: (الزَّبَرْدَجُ) و (الزَّبَرْجَدُ) : الزُّمُرُّذُ. صَريحُه أَنه لُغةٌ مَشْهُورَة، وَلَيْسَ كذالك، فقد صرَّحَ ابنُ جِنِّي فِي أَوّل الخصائص: إِنّما جاءَ الزَّبَرْدَج مَقلوباً فِي ضرورةِ شِعْرٍ، وذالك فِي القافية خاصَّةً، وذالك لأَنّ الْعَرَب لَا تَقلِب الخُماسيَّ.
