ريف: الرِّيْفُ: الخِصْبُ والسَّعَةُ، وأرْيَفَتِ الأرْضُ إرْيَافاً، وأرْضٌ رَيِّفَةٌ. ورَافَ يَرِيْفُ: رَعى الرِّيْفَ. وقانِصٌ رِيْفِيٌّ.

ورَايَفَ للظِّنَّةِ: أي قارَفَها وطَنَّفَ لها.
