[رون] الأَرْوَنانُ: الصوت. قال: بها حاضرٌ من غير جِنٍّ يَروعُهُ ولا أَنَسٍ ذو أَرْوَنانٍ وذو زَجَلْ ويوم أَرْوَنان، وليلة أَرْوَنانَةٌ: شديدة صعبة. وأما قول النابغة الجعدى: وظل لنسوة النعمان منا على سفوان يوم أرونانى فأردفنا حليلته وجئنا بما قد كان جمع من هجان فإنما كسر النون على أن أصله أرونانى على النعت فحذفت ياء النسبة. وأما قول الراجز: حرقها وارس عنظوان فاليوم منها يوم أرونان فيحتمل الاضافة إلى صفته، ويحتمل ما ذكرنا.
