دَشْبَذ: (بالفارسية دَشْبَد): مادة عظيمة يركبها الجراحون على العضو المكسور لمنع انفصاله والتئامه. ففي معجم المنصوري (دشبذ وهو خطأ): هو شيء عظمي يثنى على موضع الكسر وبه يلتئم جزءاه.
