(دَيَلَ) الدَّالُ وَالْيَاءُ وَاللَّامُ لَيْسَ يَنْقَاسُ. يَقُولُونَ: الدِّيلُ قَبِيلَةٌ، وَالنِّسْبَةُ دِيلِيٌّ. فَأَمَّا الدُّئِلُ، عَلَى فُعِلٍ، فَهِيَ دُويْبَّةٌ. وَيَضْعُفُ الْأَمْرُ فِيهَا مِنْ جِهَةِ الْوَزْنِ، فَأَمَّا الِاشْتِقَاقُ فَلَيْسَ بِبَعِيدٍ، وَقَدْ ذَكَرْنَاهُ فِي الدَّالِ وَالْهَمْزَةِ مَعَ الَّذِي يَجِيءُ بَعْدَهُمَا.
