دَحَيْتُ الشَّيْء أَدْحاه دَحْياً: بسطته، لُغَة فِي دَحَوتُه، حَكَاهَا الَّلحيانيّ. وَفِي الحَدِيث: داحِي المَدْحِيَّاتِ، يَعْنِي الْأَرْضين.

وأُدْحِىُّ النعام وإدحيتَّهُا، مبيضها، يكون من الْبَاء وَالْوَاو.

والأُدْحِىُّ: من منَازِل الْقَمَر، شبه بأُدْحِىّ النعام.

ودِحْيَةُ الْكُلِّي، حَكَاهُ ابْن السّكيت بِالْكَسْرِ وَحَكَاهُ غَيره بِالْفَتْح، قَالَ أَبُو عَمْرو: وأصل هَذِه الْكَلِمَة السَّيِّد بِالْفَارِسِيَّةِ.

وَبَنُو دُحَيّ: بطن.

والدَّحيّ: مَوضِع.
