(حَمَزَ) الْحَاءُ وَالْمِيمُ وَالزَّاءُ أَصْلٌ وَاحِدٌ، وَهُوَ حِدَّةٌ فِي الشَّيْءِ كَالْحَرَافَةِ وَمَا أَشْبَهَهَا. فَالْحَمْزَةُ حَرَافَةٌ فِي الشَّيْءِ. يُقَالُ شَرَابٌ يَحْمِزُ اللِّسَانَ. وَمِنْهُ الْحَمْزَةُ، وَهِيَ بَقْلَةٌ تَحْمِزُ اللِّسَانَ، «وَقَالَ أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ: " كَنَّانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِبَقْلَةٍ كُنْتُ اجْتَنَيْتُهَا» " ; وَكَانَ يُكْنَى أَبَا حَمْزَةَ. وَقَالَ الشَّمَّاخُ يَصِفُ رَجُلًا بَاعَ [قَوْسًا] وَأَسِفَ عَلَيْهَا: فَلَمَّا شَرَاهَا فَاضَتِ الْعَيْنُ عَبْرَةً ... وَفِي الْقَلْبِ حَزَّازٌ مِنَ اللَّوْمِ حَامِزُ

فَأَمَّا قَوْلُهُمْ لِلذَّكِيِّ الْقَلْبِ اللَّوْذَعِيِّ حَمِيزٌ، وَهُوَ حَمِيزُ الْفُؤَادِ، فَهُوَ مِنَ الْبَابِ ; لِأَنَّ ذَلِكَ مِنَ الذَّكَاءِ وَالْحِدَّةِ، وَالْقِيَاسُ فِيهِ وَاحِدٌ.
