جَذَفَهُ يَجْذِفُه: قَطَعَه،
وـ الطائرُ: أسْرَعَ،
كأَجْذَفَ وانْجَذَفَ،
وـ المرأةُ: مَشَتْ مِشْيَةَ القِصارِ، وقَصَّرَتِ الخَطْوَ،
كأَجْذفَتْ.
والمَجْذوفُ: المَقْطوعُ القَوائِمِ.
ومِجْذافَةُ السفينةِ: م، والدالُ المهملةُ لغةٌ في الكلِّ.
