جَحَّافُ:
بالفتح ثم التشديد: سكة بنيسابور، ينسب إليها أبو عبد الرحمن محمد بن عبد الله بن محمد بن أبي الوزير التاجر الجحافي، سمع أبا حاتم الرازي، وسمع منه أبو عبد الله الحاكم، وكان من الصالحين، مات لعشر بقين من شهر رمضان سنة 341 عن إحدى وتسعين سنة.
