جبن: الجُبُنُّ: مُثَقَّلٌ: ما يُؤْكَلُ. وتَجَبَّنَ اللَّبَنُ. ورَجُلٌ جَبَانٌ، وامْرِأةٌ جَبَانَةٌ وجَبَانٌ. وأجْبَنْتُه: وَجَدْته جَبَاناً. ورِجَالٌ جُبَبَاءٌ وأجْبَانٌ، ونِسْوَةٌ جَبَائنُ وجُبَنَاءُ. ويُقال للجَبَانِ: جَبّانٌ بالتَّشْدِيد. والجَبِيْنُ: حَرْفُ الجَبْهَةِ ما بِيْنَ الصُّدْغَيْنِ مُتَّصِلاً بِحِذَاءِ النّاصِيَةِ، وجَمْعه جَبَائنُ.
