بَرْوال: نتف الصوف، ففي صفة مراكش (لجودار 1: 210): ((حين يجمع التجار الصوف يدقونه وينفضونه ليزيلوا عنه ما لصق به من دمنة، فتتطاير منه عطب منفوشة فتغسل هذه العطب ويستخلص منها نتف الصوف التي يسمونها بروال.))
