(بَلَهَ) الْبَاءُ وَاللَّامُ وَالْهَاءُ أَصْلٌ وَاحِدٌ، وَهُوَ شِبْهُ الْغَرَارَةِ وَالْغَفْلَةِ. قَالَ الْخَلِيلُ وَغَيْرُهُ: الْبَلَهُ ضَعْفُ الْعَقْلِ. قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أَكْثَرُ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ الْبُلْهُ» يُرِيدُ الْأَكْيَاسَ فِي أَمْرِ الْآخِرَةِ الْبُلْهَ فِي أَمْرِ الدُّنْيَا.

وَقَالَ الزِّبْرِقَانُ [بْنُ] بَدْرٍ: " خَيْرُ أَوْلَادِنَا الْأَبْلَهُ الْعَقُولُ " يُرَادُ أَنَّهُ لِشِدَّةِ حَيَائِهِ كَالْأَبْلَهِ، وَهُوَ عَقُولٌ. وَيُقَالُ شَبَابٌ أَبْلَهُ، لِمَا فِيهِ مِنَ الْغَرَارَةِ. وَعَيْشُ الْأَبْلَهِ قَلِيلُ الْهُمُومِ. قَالَ رُؤْبَةُ:

بَعْدَ غُدَانِيِّ الشَّبَابِ الْأَبْلَهِ

فَأَمَّا قَوْلُهُمْ: " بَلْهَ " فَقَدْ يَجُوزُ أَنْ يَكُونَ شَاذًّا، وَمُحْتَمِلٌ عَلَى بُعْدِ أَنْ يُرَدَّ إِلَى قِيَاسِ الْبَابِ، بِمَعْنَى دَعْ. وَهُوَ الَّذِي جَاءَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ: «يَقُولُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى: أَعْدَدْتُ لِعِبَادِيَ الصَّالِحِينَ مَا لَا عَيْنٌ رَأَتْ وَلَا أُذُنٌ سَمِعَتْ، وَلَا خَطَرَ عَلَى قَلْبِ بَشَرٍ، بَلْهَ مَا أَطْلَعْتَهُمْ عَلَيْهِ» ، أَيْ دَعْ مَا أَطْلَعْتَهُمْ عَلَيْهِ، اغْفُلْ عَنْهُ.
